It’s been about nine months since my last post. How appropriate, since I feel as if I’ve given birth to a new baby—this site.
Early this past summer I reevaluated everything I was doing. At that time I decided to bring back my own personal domain—this is my brand after all—and build everything around it, including The Art of Breaking Out Podcast.
So, today I’m extremely happy to have this new and vastly improved site up and running and frankly, I’m too excited to sleep.
I would also like to thank the following people for helping me make a few key decisions on my way to a new site (and podcast)…
Steve Scott, Amy Harrison, Jill Stanton, Robert Rose, and Chris Ducker. Thanks!
Berni Xiong, thanks for the kick in the shins.
Danny Brown, appreciate you always answering my emails.
Marcus Sheridan, just keep being you. You always push individuals to do better.
Stephen Lahey, appreciate your rock-solid advice.
Mars Dorian, I’m glad I know you, Sir. Thanks.
Srinivas Rao, You’ve helped me in more ways than you know.
Steve Woodruff, appreciate your detailed feedback.
Ryan Hanley, dammit, you rock. Keep going, and thanks.
Gini Dietrich, remember this?… https://craigmcbreen.com/an-interview-with-gini-dietrich/ It’s been a long and fun trip since that interview. Thanks for all you do.
Brian Thompson, you keep me grounded. I try to be a bit more Zen each day.
And, Jared Atchison, for doing some amazing work!
But, most of all, I want to thank my wife, Mary Anne, for helping me every step of the way. This includes listening to me, giving me advice, and helping me bring this site to life by doing a ton of behind the scenes work! We make a great team 🙂

It sure has! And thank you for all you’ve done along the way.
Wait – aren’t you meant to be getting Petro’d or something??

Hey Amy,
Thanks for dropping in. This is an adventure!
Welcome back Craig and I know that you’re doing what’s best for you to help you reach your goals and achieve what it is you want to accomplish. I’ve been doing some of the same and hope to have a new look in the near future although that’s going extremely slow at the moment.
I look forward to seeing what you’ll be sharing moving forward and I wish you the very best my friend. Looks like you have a lot of amazing people supporting you as well.

Hi Adrienne,
Thanks! And I’m looking forward to seeing your new look.
I really appreciate you dropping in. And yes, it’s great to have support and really great to see you again. Stay tuned!
Thanks for the mention, Craig. The new site looks great!
Hi Stephen,
Of course. And thank you!
Hi Craig,
Long time no see! 🙂 Congratulations on the new site – I know how much work that can be! Onward and upward!
I’ve backed off to one post a month of late, focusing my writing energy on my second book but it’s always nice to see the old gang!
All the best!
Lori
Hi Lori,
Thanks and man, it’s been a while!
Yes, tons of work but I know it will all be worth it.
Well, one post a month is fine. If you’re writing a book that is more important. Hope that second book is coming along!
All the best to you and thanks for stopping in!
Hi Craig
I have been MIA also and not sure when I will be ready to vamp up a website again. I am still working on my art and plan of illustrating a book my mother wrote some 40 years ago. So illustrations, cartoons and writing is in my blood and that is what I will be focusing on.
I just read your post Want to Change Your Life? (Let’s Start with 5 Regrets.) That unfortunately sounds like my life. Bullied and manipulated into what other people want not what I want to do.
Sold our house and moved to the country. At the moment we are renting a house on about 4 acres, although not the ideal situation, it has provided some peace. Now I can focus on what is important.
Looking forward to your inspirations.
Mary
HI Mary,
We all have to take a breather every once in a while. Sounds like you have a plan though.
Sorry to hear about that, but I hope the move helps. Four acres certainly sounds nice 🙂
Thanks for stopping and and I hope things get better for you.
That is wonderful news Craig. Congratulations and keep up the great work!
Hi Corina,
Thank you!
Good to see the CM site back up and running, my man – and looks great, very clean!
Looking forward to seeing where you go with this (despite Gini’s interruptions), and, you know, I bet Postmatic would love this site… 😉

Hey Danny,
Thanks! Big plans and plenty in the queue! I still have your contact at Postmatic. Will check it out at some point.
Hi Craig,
Looking forward to see what comes next.
Thanks, Josh. Plenty on the way.
Good, we like plenty. We like Good and Plenty even more than we like Mike and Ike.
Good and Plenty over Mike and Ike any day of the week.
Hi Craig, looks great! Psst…thought you may want to know there’s still some pesky Lorem ipsum on your home page 🙂
Hi Di,
Ha ha, that is funny. Thanks! I’m glad somebody is paying attention… 😉 Sheesh! Thanks for the heads up.
Fantastic! Great look for the new site.
Hey Joe,
Thanks!
Massive congratulations, Craig!
The site looks and feels great. I was just wondering when the AOBO podcast would be returning. I look forward to becoming an increasingly big fan of yours.
Hi Donnie,
The AOBO podcast is live and on this site. Check out my latest with Dave Conrey: https://craigmcbreen.com/dave-conrey-killing-the-starving-artist-mindset/
And, thanks!
Hey Craig.
Nice digs! Congrats on breaking out again. You certainly are in it for the long haul. Best of luck.
Hey Ralph,
Good to see you, Sir! Thanks!
Congrats Craig – the new site looks great!
Thanks, Stephanie! Hope all is well.
Hi Craig – Glad to see you back, sir! It’s sort of a toss-up whether our websites should have business name or our own personal name. I’m tending towards the personal.
I didn’t realize that you knew all those well-known bloggers? You will have to explain your outreach process.
Good luck!
Patricia Haag
Hi Pat,
Thank you! So much easier for the brand to evolve if it’s personal.
My outreach process is simple, I ask. Granted, there are some who either ignore or don’t respond but there are plenty of fish in the sea, eh? 😉
Thank you and glad to see you here.
Massive congratulations, Craig!
Can’t wait to see the next part of your adventure!
Hi Craig ,
Fantastic! Great look for the new site.
Thanks for the informtion
